So, I recently got fed up waiting for Mojang to release their latest version of Minecraft Pocket Edition, 0.12. Turns out you can install the BETA version, provided you are on an Android device. Dragon Touch M7 tablet to the rescue! This article will summarize my experience with the tablet so far.
I purchased the Dragon Touch M7, and returned it within a few days. Yup. Not much to else to say about it.
- It “runs” Lollipop! Nice! Wait a minute, it’s a custom ROM, there are no OTA updates… you have to wait for the folks that make this tablet to build another custom ROM for an update.
- The custom ROM ran choppy, and the UI was a bit slow to respond, and often missed gestures on the screen.
For about the same price, OK slightly more ($149 at the time), I purchased a Nexus 7 instead. The difference was night and day. Official google nexus vs. Dragon Touch M7? Hands down the winner is the Nexus 7.
