{"id":141,"date":"2009-01-04T15:20:56","date_gmt":"2009-01-04T11:20:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hakbox.com\/?p=141"},"modified":"2009-01-10T02:17:46","modified_gmt":"2009-01-09T22:17:46","slug":"motorola-s9-on-macbook-aluminum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hakbox.com\/?p=141","title":{"rendered":"Motorola S9 on MacBook Aluminum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hakbox.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/pic-0119.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-146\" title=\"S9-On-Aluminum\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hakbox.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/pic-0119.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"112\" \/><\/a>Getting static on your bluetooth headphones while playing music via iTunes?\u00a0 Are you sure you are using A2DP (sorry, I had to ask!)\u00a0 I recently pulled my S9s out of retirement to try them out on the new MacBook.\u00a0 Expecting nothing less than a perfect experience, I was surprised at the quality of the audio.\u00a0 Once iTunes had been fired up, I heard music, but also <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>a lot<\/strong><\/span><\/span> of static and crackling.\u00a0 It was using A2DP as I did have stereo output.\u00a0 After some googling and reading quite a few posts from angry people on the Apple forums, I found some suggestions on how to resolve this.\u00a0 It sounds strange, but it did make a difference in the amount of static.<\/p>\n<p>When you add the bluetooth headphones, select Headset from the list, rather than Any (yup, Headphones isn&#8217;t listed).\u00a0 This will setup your S9s as Headset and Headphones.\u00a0 Once OS X is done with the pairing, turn off your headphones.\u00a0 Select &#8220;Use as Headphones&#8221; from the gear icon, or from the bluetooth icon.\u00a0 Turn on the headphones.\u00a0 Fire up iTunes and listen to some tunes.<\/p>\n<p>I have to stress that there still is static, just not as much as before.\u00a0 Foward, Back, Play\/Pause, Volume all work of course.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1\/9\/2008: Update<br \/>\n<\/strong>I&#8217;ve recently tried the headphones while playing a few games (Spore, World of Warcraft).\u00a0 There is definitely much less static.\u00a0 I wonder if the static is directly related to iTunes&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Getting static on your bluetooth headphones while playing music via iTunes?
