Yeah, I’m a technology nerd. I love technology. \u00a0That’s why even though I have an iPhone 6 Plus, I decided to pick up a Nexus 5 (that’s right, 5) refurbished from amazon.com (hey, it was only $150!). \u00a0When I received the N5, I immediately made a nano to micro SIM adapter out of an old store card, and was very happy with the 5 inch screen on the N5. It felt nice to have a smaller phone again. \u00a0The N5 started to have some issues within the first few days, though.<\/p>\n

The phone ran great, and seemed to handle everything just fine. \u00a0Plus, the 5 inch screen looks amazing (even in 2016). \u00a0Where I had issues was when playing games on the N5. The phone would overheat, and the screen would start tearing and jumping all over the place. \u00a0It even did it when I was just listening to music over bluetooth and had the phone sitting on a wireless charger. \u00a0I decided it was probably best to return the phone, since I was only two days into ownership. \u00a0Amazon is great for returns. \u00a0That’s when I noticed the Nexus 6 was only $350… $150 to $350 seems like a big jump for something I don’t need, but after all, I love playing with “new” gadgets.<\/p>\n
When I realized the Nexus 6 was about $350 brand spanking new, not refurbished, I couldn’t resits. \u00a0I decided it was time to own two phones. \u00a0Plus, the Nexus 6 uses a nano-sim, so I can easily switch back and forth between my iPhone 6 Plus and Nexus 6. No custom adapter needed.<\/p>\n
So far, the Nexus 6 is a great phone. \u00a0Amazing, even. \u00a0Motorola has stated it made a mistake making the N6 so large, but I disagree. \u00a0I love the size of the screen, and the dual front facing speakers are sweet. \u00a0The phone also feels great in the hand, but I seem to have large hands. \u00a0I really like this phone. \u00a0A lot. \u00a0I would not even consider getting the Huawei 6P; wireless charging is too important to me, plus is has no optical image stabilization – the N6 has both! \u00a0Who needs 8 cores (6P)?<\/p>\n
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not giving up my iPhone. \u00a0I just like being able to switch back and forth when I get bored of iOS or Android. \u00a0For now the iPhone 6 Plus is sitting on my night stand. \u00a0Maybe in a few weeks I will be bored and switch back.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
