We didn&#8217;t want to turn into peeling skin faces, so we got some Aloe AfterSun lotion from one of the local quick-e-marts (ABC Stores &#8230; one every block, I swear!). This lotion is amazing. Applied it once or twice, redness is gone, and hello tan! Note, when we stopped at the ABC Store, the clerk asked: &#8220;Get your sun-tan lotion yet?&#8221;. Obviously, she saw our red faces and assumed we were <em>noobs<\/em>. The next day, we went back to get some SPF 50 to be safe. We had been using SPF 30.<\/p>\n<p>Beach towels rolled up and affixed to the backpack via tie-downs, we walked into the ABC Store. The same clerk was there, and this time she said: &#8220;You want beach mat? $1.69! Better than towel for beach!&#8221; In the back of my mind, I was thinking, &#8220;maybe she&#8217;s trying to tell us something?&#8221; We declined.
