LotRO: Leveling a Burglar

The following is what I’ve done to level a burglar.  I got stuck a few times not knowing what area to quest in next, so I thought I’d share what I did. Hopefully this will help out some other players.  Note: I make no claim to be a leveling expert. I just took notes as I was leveling.

Race: Man
Class: Burglar

• Levels 1-8:
  • Tutorial instance
  • New player area (Archet)
• Levels 8-12:
  • Combe
  • Chetwood
  • taddle

• Levels 12-16:
  • Buckland
  • Old Forest
  • Adso’s Camp
    • You must complete the quests in Buckland and the Old Forest to finally be directed to Adso and open that quest line.
• Levels 16-20:
  • Barrow Downs
    • Pick up the quests between Tom Bombadil’s house and the Great Barrows (Old Barrow Road).
  • The Great Barrows (fellowship instance, several times)
• Levels 20-24:
  • Lone-lands, the Forsaken In
  • Eglain ranger quests
• Levels 24-26:
  • Lone-lands, Ost Guruth
    • Note: You could do Thistlebridge before Ost Guruth, and actually that makes more sense because of the mob levels.
• Levels 26-30:
  • Thistlebridge
  • Estendim
• Levels 30 – 32:
  • Skirmish Dailies
  • Estendim
